The Side of Suzaku
Beloved solders, friends and lovers they were. Joined together in the bonds of loyalty, friendship and love, the Suzaku Seishi worked together to reach their goals: to make the Konan empire safe and to return their Miko home safely. When their Miko (priestess), Miaka, arrived in Konan Tamahome was the first on the scene to protect her. She then introduced herself to Hotohori then was imprisoned tricked by him (He is a beautiful man and he was wearing a dress) to find out what her true intentions where. Soon Nuriko was found just in time for the gathered warriors to send Miaka home for a short time with the help of Yui. She then returned to have Chichiri save her, then Tasuki kidnap her and Mitsukake heal her. Chiriko was found a little while after that but there were all sorts of obstacles (like imposters) in the way. But in the end Miaka found the Suzaku seishi on her own. She tried to form friendships with them and help them in what ever situation they were in. In contrast to the War like Seiryu, the Suzaku seishi were a close tight knit team. They would willingly go through the fire for each other and, most of all, for Miaka.

A special note about Suzaku
Being that he is the god of love and lovers in general, the love of Miaka and Tamahome fuel his powers and make them both seem to be priests at times. At the end of the 3rd OVA anime they both called him. An interesting fact in my opinion.
