Love Can Mend Broken Hearts

He was completely devoted to his Miko...Body, Soul, and Heart. She was cold to him especially when it came to his feelings for her. Yet he did everything in his power to protect her. He even came back from the dead to see her safe. Would she ever let him love her?

Did it happen?

We all know Suboshi was head over heals for her. Suboshi revealed his feelings to her in the forest and again in the baths before she called Seiryu. Well, she didn’t really return much affection. Actually, she never accepted him. She had plenty of chances. He made multiple passes and confessed his love so often, but poor Suboshi only get a few kisses out of this relationship. So no, they never did get together.

Could it have worked?

Well Suboshi was sweet at times and he cared a great deal for Yui, but she was hurt and blind at the time. She simply couldn't see the truth in front of her. If she would have accepted his true love I am not sure it would have lasted but they would have been good for one another. Suboshi would have belonged to someone sense having lost his brother and Yui would have had someone to love her unconditionally.

What I think

I wish she did get together with him. Poor Suboshi was so lonely after he thought his brother died. He did so much for her. I wish she would have given him a little bit of happiness. I think they look good together but I don't think she could ever really accept him.
