Ice Cold Seiryu Love
This is probably the most dysfunctional relationship in the whole series. Yes they look good together but both o them are emotional wrecks. Could they find peace in each other's arms? Heck No!!! What planet are you living on??? Yui is too dependant and Nakago is too much of a manipulator. This man claims to love her to get her to give him his ultimate wish. To him she is no more than a pawn, someone to use to get what he wants and she was dumb enough to believe him. I mean, he lied to her about what happened to her when she first fell to the world of the four gods and used it to fuel a hatred between and her best friend (who happens to be the Priestess of his country's enemy)

Would you believe your most trusted longstanding friend or some guy you barely know?
Did it happen?
Yes actually, toward the end of the series they got together. She was willing to do anything for him. All he had to say was that everything he did for her was because he loved her and she fell for it hook, line, and sinker. True it did seem like he cared something for her, always trying to do what she wanted but he always used it to further his plans. Of course, before Seiryu took over her body he told her the truth, that he was just using her. Her love for him developed from her insecurity which as caused by the "trial" she "endured" and the fact that her has been there for her sense she fell to this world (well gee. so was Suboshi but that's another story) Nevertheless she did have a love for her would be protector.
Can it last?
Hmm... let me think ...NO!!! Love must be based on truth
and trust. This relationship is based on lies and deception. Nakago, sadly
to say is
incapable of giving or accepting love because of his history of pain.
He became cold
and unfeeling because of what happened to his family and to himself.
There is no way this relationship could last.
