Orphans Unite
If you don't know Soi's story here it goes. Soi was sold into prostitution, by her own family, at the age of 12. Nakago found out she was Seiryu Seishi and rescued her from that life.(I think he might have felt sorry for her considering what his past was like) So she fell head over heals for the man who saved her and would do anything for him. (Heck, she died saving his life, go fig).
Did it Happen?
Well Nakago and she had some kind of relationship. It could have been romantic (especially on Soi's end) and sexual (just look at her power and past.) But I suspect that Nakago's feelings for her were mostly that of convenience. She had the ability to transfer ki and generate healing in other people through skin on skin contact so she was incredibly useful. So honestly there was some sort of relationship going on but for what sort I am not sure.
Could it Last?
Probably not. Nakago has this problem with love. He doesn't express it well. This would be one of those extremely lopsided relationships. Soi loves immensely but Nakago doesn't care that deeply and doesn't know how. If Nakago wasn't set on revenge maybe he could have learned to love her. I think she was the only person he cared about, even if it was only alittle.
