Twincest At its Best
Don't you find it interesting how incredibly close these two brothers are? Though one is dead the other freely allows the first to use his body. “Why?” you may ask. Because, they are one. Obviously these two have a deep and abiding relationship of some kind.
Did it happen?
Well we don't really know. By the time we see them in our story they are separated and one seemingly dies. We only get to see them together I think twice. One can sense the closeness between them. When Suboshi thought Amiboshi was dead his pain and anguish drove him to commit an exceedingly vile act to avenge his brother. Though it was in error, his passion and love for his brother was evident. Amiboshi also feels this bond for though he had taken the Forgetful Tea he still could feel the moment when his brother Suboshi Dies. Their bond still remained in tact even beyond the grave.
Was their love romantic in nature?
I donno. They grew up together taking care of each other. It could have happened at some point but we have no proof. My guess is not but there are a few fanfictions and doushinjis out there that say otherwise. Some are quite entertaining as well.
Will it last?
Well they are brothers -- Twin Brothers. They are closer than soul mates. Of course whatever love they possess will last forever. To think otherwise would just be silly. Sadly to say both have died tragically. Suboshi died "defending his miko's honor" in the real world and Amiboshi died when Suboshi took over his body and saved her life again when she got sucked into the book again in the OVA. So they will live happily in the after life or whatever.
